About me

Hi, I'm Shahd, a final-year Interior Decorating student at Algonquin College with a certificate in Interior Design from Saudi Arabia. My education and experience have equipped me with a strong foundation in design principles, space planning, and various design styles. I am competent in drafting floor plans with AutoCAD and creating detailed 3D models and renderings in Chief Architect. Throughout my studies, I have developed concepts, selected materials and finishes, and presented proposals that balance function and aesthetic appeal. In addition to my design education, I have over four years of experience as a photographer and filmmaker, which has enhanced my client communication, project management, and collaborative skills. Working independently in these fields has taught me effective management skills, meeting deadlines, and self-motivation. I am eager to bring my skills to my upcoming career in interior decorating and apply what I am learning into practical settings.
